Mercedes Walkie brings over a decade of leadership and service to global development and human rights initiatives. A veteran of 10 years in the United States Air Force, Ms. Walkie has cultivated a career dedicated to advancing equity, social justice, and sustainable solutions. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Race, Class, and Culture, an MBA in Management and Finance, and is currently a PhD candidate in International Psychology with a focus on Organizations and Systems. Her expertise bridges strategic leadership, economic empowerment, and cross-cultural engagement, with a particular commitment to poverty reduction and the advancement of women’s rights worldwide.

​Through her years of experience at United Nations Missions, political NGOs, and public policy, Ambassador Valerie Reynoso has committed herself to a career in diplomacy, governance and international law. Valerie is a political analyst, author, academic, and artist. Valerie is currently a 3L Juris Doctor candidate at New York Law School, where she has a concentration in Public and Government Interest Law, and is a member of the Center of International Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Cum Laude) in Politics and Human Rights from Marymount Manhattan College. She also holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. Her work history reflects her dedication to strengthening peace, justice and conflict resolution in the international arena through legal-political analyses and diplomatic negotiations.
