Hajiya Samira Sheriff is a seasoned businesswoman with over 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Upstream sector. Her work experience started at Tamoil where she was Head of Business Development for the President, East Africa Region, then at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation as the NNPC Retail Fleet General Manager, further on to work for the President of Niger as Senior Advisor on Energy Partnerships in Oil and Gas, Mining and Power, as well as being mandated to represent the country on Transport and Civil Aviation.
She moved back to Nigeria as the Business Development Advisor to the New Nigeria Development Company, the economic vehicle of the 19 Northern states of Nigeria, covering the sectors of Oil and Gas, Mining, Agriculture, Telecoms, Infrastructure etc.
Her specialty and purview are on developing adoption, acceptance and implementation of Renewable Energy policies and Renewable Energy power infrastructure by countries in the Central and West African region.
